Frontispiece engraving of the World Mountain Ranges, 74 maps on 77 sheets, engraved, folding, double-page sheets. hand-coloured, some with inset vignettes, finely engraved and coloured. In contemporary morocco, the front board detached and bowed, spine worn, the frontispiece torn and creased in the gutter without loss, 2 maps creased vertically, one map with a small tear in the lower margin and one with a tear in the fold, neither with loss, 3 leaves of the Index heavily spotted, the maps clean with wide margins, a binding copy.
