Kate Greenaway Pictures from Originals Presented by Her to John Ruskin and Other Personal Friends (hitherto unpublished). With an Appreciation by H. M. CUNDALL.

pp. 11, (i). Photogravure frontispiece portrait by MISS LILY EVANS, circa 1895, 20 coloured plates, the portrait and plates all laid into recessed heavy paper with captioned guards. Publisher's quarter cloth, uncut on heavy paper, the front board with a very faint ring mark, the rear board faintly spotted, top corner of one guard creased , overall a bright and clean copy.

*Not uncommon but a fine production, and to quote the Appreciation - 'One may venture to prophesy that long after the present craze for the works of the Cubists and Vorticists has been forgotten, interest in Kate Greenaway's drawings, described by Ruskin as being executed in pure graceful movement and dainty design, will continue to survive.' Not quite, but they are lovely !
