Dust wrapper with spine torn with some loss, frayed at the top edge, lengthy, signed inscription from the author - 'These stories were written after World War one, when I wished I was old enough to 'mother' our wounded boys, but had to express myself through 'Mrs Copeland', 'Mrs. Randall', etc ! In recent years I could almost 'Grandmother' most of them !!' 'Greenway', Bryn Mawr, Pa Sept. 1947. The author has also dated each of the 5 stories on the Contents page.
