Dialogues on Entomology, in Which the Forms and Habits of Insects are Familiarly Explained.

pp. xii, 408. Frontispiece and 24 finely engraved, hand-coloured plates, occasional text figure. A very nice, uncut copy in a modern cloth binding that does not do justice to the contents, one plate with some old pencillings erased, some dusty margins and occasional foxing.

*FREEMAN BNHB #974 [this is his copy]. COPAC records copies at the BL : NHM : OXFORD : NOTTINGHAM : WELLCOME. The text includes Arachnida and Crustacea. It is dedicated to Maria Edgeworth, herself the uncertain author [according to Freeman] of Dialogues on Botany for the Use of Young Persons, 1819, also published by Hunter [F:BNHB #1102].
