pp. v, (iii), 468, (x) Index, (i) Errata, (i) blank. Folding frontispiece, folding plate, 2 vignettes to the additional title-pages and 5 plates. An extra, etched plate - COPY OF A PICTURE PRESENTED TO THE CHURCH OF SELBORNE, BY BENJAMIN WHITE, ESQ. - has been tipped in, and loosely added are 3 other engravings, one a View of the Residence at Selborne of the Late Rev. Gilbert White, the other two are copies of the title vignettes. The first two of these additional engravings are taken from the third edition of 1813. In later half vellum and marbled boards by GOULDEN of CANTERBURY with their ticket on the rear pastedown, the frontispiece with a small attachment tear, the plates are offset to text and the folding plate is foxed and browned at the top edge, in all other ways a very nice copy, ex libris RICHARD FFREEMAN, Darwin scholar, with his notes at the front.
