READ, [J.].
Read's New Patent Improved Lavement Apparatus Manufactured at 35, Regent Circus, Piccadilly.

pp. 12. Printed paper wrappers, the front acting as title, the rear cover advertising Read's Portable Fire Extinguisger and Patent Garden Syringe, with woodcuts, the whole folded horizontally by two folds and once vertically, the wrappers discoloured and becoming detached, text creased but clean, a working copy only.

*COPAC locates a related title in the British Library - A Description of Read's patent stomach pump and self-injecting lavement apparatus, etc. [1829]; and another in the NLS, also [1829]. The above, though describing the same apparatus is a slightly later publication and seemingly with a briefer text, since the NLS copy has 24 pages.
