*See WELLCOME II, p.402, for Cox's Catalogue of Dispensing Labels, 1828. The last edition of this Companion that I can trace is that of 1887, the so-called 48th. edition. These little handbooks, like cookery books, were worked to pieces and have become extremely scarce, especially with the full complement of labels, in this case, 62 on 6 leaves.
