Contemporary speckled calf with wear patches on the boards and along the ends and edges of the spine, label removed from front paste-down, joints firm and contents clean.

PREFACE : 'Tis universally agreed, that an exact knowledge of the Materia medica, with the proper manner of preparing and compounding the Simples, is absolutely requisite to the due exercise of the Art of Physic.'
