Original reversed calf over heavy boards, spine with raised bands, leather title and imprint labels, uncut, leather ties [those on rear board broken], newly rebacked retaining the original labels, the fore-edge of the front board blackened by a liquid ? not affecting the end-papers or text, free end-papers slightly browned, overall a lovely production as befits this press.

*LIMITED EDITION of 1000 copies, this being no. 447, signed by Lee [the signature partially erased] - From the PREFACE : 'In the case of each of the five works, the editor has endeavoured to give a history of all surviving copies of original editions and of early reissues, as well as to indicate their present homes.'
