IMAGE [ the son of WILLIAM EDMUND IMAGE FRCS, both practising physicians in Bury St.Edmunds] on the title.

He was Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Bellevue Hospital, New York, but this book was written and published in England when he was visiting in 1877.
