pp. (ii) Title for Vorlesungen über Pathologie, (III)-XII, 543, (i). 107 text woodcuts, lacking the frontispiece; (ii), 288. 46 text woodcuts; (ii), 496. Frontispiece and 38 text woodcuts. Contemporary half calf, rubbed at ends and edges, lower corners a bit worn, some lower corners in v.III turned over, fore-edge margin of the frontispiece to v.III slightly cropped not affecting the mages but with loss of two letters of the title legend, a very small damp mark in the top margin of the prelims. for v.I, overall a very good copy.

*GARRISON-MORTON #2617; OSLER #1631; HEIRS OF HIPPOCRATES #1014. Virchow did not finish this work, it ends with v.III part 1, after 25 lectures.
