All in the original cloth, v.I without a dust-wrapper and with a loosely added note explaining that the stock of dust-wrappers had been exhausted, v.II-IV with dust wrappers, with a few little edge tears, spine of v.III much faded, v.V with the original glassine wrapper, a little foxing of all end-papers, two plates in v.I have adhered in the margins with slight surface damage in spots only just touching the images of one plate, otherwise very good copies.

*The first four volumes were all limited to 1200 copies with 1150 for sale; v.IV is numbered 346 and is signed by Stott. Volume V was issued posthumously by the CIRCUS FRIENDS ASSOCIATION - it contains 3269 items, with a detailed Index of 2700 entries, and is a photofacsimile of the author's typescript. These additional records are based upon collections in the Universiteitsbibliotheek van Amsterdam and the University of Illinois. It is not generally known that this, fifth, volume was issued and because the run was so limited, it is extremely scarce. TOGETHER WITH : RAYMOND TOOLE-STOTT.
