Publisher's cloth, the AUTHOR'S PROOF copy with profuse correction, emendation and marginal notes, occasional publisher's marginal stamp, occasional marginal date stamp running from November 1922 until March 1923, the sheets originally with wide margins and having been bound and trimmed, some of the marginal notes are cropped, the first few leaves laid in within a bordering sheet, the half title and one leaf of prelims not included, the margins slightly browned.
*As with all author's proofs, a very interesting glimpse of both the printing process and of his changes of thought.
