BARON, William.
Bits O' Broad Lancashire, Poems in the Dialect.

pp. (viii), 110, (ii) Press Opinions. Original blind decorated cloth, the covers very slightly marked, the lower edge of the rear board with a little bubbling from damp not affecting the contents, the first few leaves with some marginal foxing, the title and last page a bit browned from the end-papers, but overall a good copy.

*COPAC gives the British Library copy only, a scarce title. Dedicated to Edwin Waugh, Baron says in his Introduction : '............. an attempt has been made to pourtray [sic] the various phases of Lancashire life amongst the humbler classes, and in so doing, the Author has made no effort to conceal their failings, or to exaggerate the better qualities of their nature. Having spent his life amongst them, and still feeling proud to class himself as one of their number, he has had an excellent opportunity of studying them in the varied circumstances of life.........'.
