*Axel Martin Fredrik Munthe (October 31, 1857 February 11, 1949) Swedish physician and psychiatrist, studied medicine at Uppsala, Montpellier and Paris, where he was a student of Charcot, and graduated M.D. in 1880 at the age of 23. The above title is an account of his relief work in Naples, during a cholera epidemic, first published as articles in the Swedish newspaper - Stockholms Dagblad.
