Murder in the Cathedral.

Programme for the Poetry Society production at Oxford University, not dated [c.1950?].

Single sheet folded, c.14 x 22 cms., a very good copy.

*Noteworthy for the cast list including ADRIAN MITCHELLand NICHOLAS DEWEY. The latter was a friend and one-time colleague in the book-trade. Nicholas also specialised in the History of Medicine and had a bookshop in Great Ormond Street, London, for some years. He later left for Florida where I believe he taught English. ADRIAN MITCHELL (1932-2008), is better known - poet, playwright, novelist and anti-war activist. At the time of this performance of Eliot he was studying English at Christ Church, Oxford, and taught by Christopher Tolkein. COPAC does not record a copy.
