SIZE: 198 x 156 mm. with arched top showing Burr seated at a table, holding in his right hand a framed image of, possibly, the moon.

Description:
Mounted onto an album leaf of wove paper, somewhat faded, glue stained at the top and bottom, clearly from a different series in size and colour to others catalogued here.

*BURR (1821-1874), fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society, inventor of a model demonstrating the Precession of the Equinoxes [Science Museum Collection], he observed the occultation of Jupiter by the moon in 1860. This M&P image not in the Wellcome nor in the National Portrait Gallery.
