An Introductory Treatise Dealing Mainly With First Principles and Their Direct Applications.

pp. XIV, 204, (ii). Original cloth, a very good copy.

*Tipped to the top margin of the front free end-paper are two copies of an 8 stanza poem, printed on a single sheet, by G. H. B[ryan]. and M. A. B[ryan]. "Two Other Triangles" - 'ABC is a Triangle'. 'What are the wild waves saying As they cast up the wrack in a tangle? I hear in the music of their spraying, That ABC is a triangle. What are the words of those 'freshmen' As they cross the college quadrangle? 'O how did you answer that question On ABC is a triangle?' High wranglers may rise to great fame With their mathematical wrangle But they will never cease to proclaim That ABC is a triangle. Probably the only two copies of this production in existence! NO COPY recorded by COPAC. G. H. Bryan was Professor of Mathematics at the University College of North Wales.
