*An original coloured lithograph from 'Vanity Fair by SPY [Leslie Ward]. Georgina Weldon, a delightful eccentric and indefatigable campaigner for the rights of the individual, became involved in lunacy law reform via a series of legal actions against Forbes Winslow. The portrait of her in Vanity Fair shows her holding a bundle of legal documents titled 'Weldon v Winslow'. See KATHLEEN JONES History of the Mental Health Services, 1972.
