BRAMWELL, J. Milne.
Hypnotism Its History, Practice and Theory.

Description:
pp. xiv, 478, (ii). Original cloth, obituary notice tipped onto front past-down, signature of T. PERCY C. KIRKPATRICK, a very good copy.

*THOMAS PERCY CLAUDE KIRKPATRICK [1869-1954] - physician and medical historian. See Munk's Roll, v.V - 'Kirkpatrick's only hobby was books, and more books. He had a magnificent collection of first editions and other treasures dear to the bibliophile. Sunday morning would usually find him rearranging and dusting with loving care the fine collection of old books in the library of Steevens' Hospital. Not unnaturally the majority of his numerous articles and books concerned the history of medicine in Ireland, like his History of the medical teaching in Trinity College, Dublin (1912) and The History of Doctor Steevens' Hospital, Dublin (1924). SEE LYONS Brief Lives of Irish Doctors, pp.14,15 et seq.
