Two copies, both issued as a souvenir of the fortieth anniversary of the The Temple Shakespeare and the inauguration of The New Temple Shakespeare, with a specialy printed leaf to that effect bound in before the front free end-paper. Loosely inserted is the Menu for the celebratory lunch at the Savoy, 17th. September 1934, with seating plan and list of speakers [a single sheet printed in red, folded into four and then folded horizontally to fit into the book but in very good order]. Both books in very good condition in dust wrappers, top edges gilt, one with the ownership initials 'V.E.C.' in pencil [not traced on the seating plan!].
