*KNAGGS appears to have started his career as a general surgeon, assistant at the Leeds General Infirmary, though latterly he was Ophthalmic Surgeon to the same institution. Some of the papers are ophthalmological [On Lenticonus; TB of the iris], others are of a general surgical nature [Compound Depressed Fracture of the Skull; Treatment of Advanced Hip-Joint Disease; Hydatid Cyst of the Liver].
